Follow up meeting on changes and improvements to our Bible Study and Study habits..

Lord Jesus guide us this morning down a constructive, righteous pathway.. We are here because of you and we are thankful for this gathering of brothers and sisters.

Bless our work here today, open our hearts and minds . Help us to overcome the devils dogma which keeps us stuck. Bless us with humility, Remove our pridefulness and keep us as children, born again into your Love…

We ask these things in Jesus’ name..

     This morning I would like to discuss both decisions that I have made based on our discussion last Wednesday and comments and suggestions that were directed my way… In this I will be brief..

As I reflected on everything that was said my decisions, Should I go forward from today, are as follows:

# 1 - 

I see the need to shorten the sermons or opening messages to between 30 – 40 minutes..


#2 - 

I also see then need and benefit to , in many cases, split chapters in halves or even thirds , depending , in order to cover them properly before we move on to the next chapter… There will also be occasions when I will be suggesting an additional chapter for supportive content as you read and study…We should combine all these study protocols…

#3 - 

As I said before Hilda will chose our hymns and I will be tolerant of her mistakes if she also can be tolerant of mine….

#4 - 

We will go forward with outreach work which Hilda will be spearheading…. I would like to see everyone, however, doing outreach to folks that may be silent and not make it to the meetings or are ill.. The purpose is to let them know that they are welcome here , to extend fellowship to them, to help them pray if they have the desire and feel the need….

#6 - 

Theril will be speaking for 5-10 minutes on biblical areas that are of interest to him and hopefully to the group, each Sunday morning… Theril has also agreed to be the default person of our closing prayer should no one else step up up to do it.. I hope to see much more enthusiasm in this area… I would like to see hands go up and 2 or 3 prayers be offered up in closing…..Why should that not be?

After due consideration Meeting times will not change….

Our new addition of Videos will be made available as is possible for me to do them which can also be shared when out-reach is done, by the outreach person…Lets keep people connected….

The website and facebook pages will continue without change…..

# 10 - 

I have also concluded that one should not preach unless he is teaching.. Jesus taught..His disiples taught… and Paul spent his life teaching as he wrote and visited the first churches… What was the teaching of Apostles?

I will just say that the call to be devoted to the Apostles Teaching is an invitation to experience true life, resurrection life found only as we abide in Jesus. We are loved by him. He patiently teaches us together to love like him. We have no better teaching or philosophy or story to devote ourselves to or to emulate…

I preach under the assumption that everyone has studied the chapter for a full week before Wednesday night meeting..

We know that the keys to the power and the glory of God are contained in the scriptures. Christ said so. So if you are not reading and studying throughout the week please do or you and you alone will be the loser for it…

So in conclusion, on this point I will continue to preach as I am moved to do so, in a manner that is appropriate for a study of the bible,incorperating above stated changes and under the assumption that you have all done your reading, thinking, and praying before Wednesday evening…

This is the sum total of my conclusions regarding changes based on our meeting…

Our Father in heaven, we are thankful for all the blessings that you have given us.. We ask for your guidance this morning as we depart from one another. I ask Lord that you help override my anger and replace it with the peace and Love that you have intended for us. Bless this gathering , this bible study group as you see fit ..Take us forward in your way and according to your will…

Forgive us Father for our trespasses, our wilfulness and our haughty ways.. helps us to replace pride with thankfulness for many gifts that you have seen fit to bestow upon us…

Keep our brothers and sisters this day. Remember those that struggle both spiritually and physically…

We ask these things in Jesus name..
